Fast turnaround. Most small orders (1–12 items) are done in 5–7 business days once we receive them — not the 6–8 weeks some national mail-in services quote.
Everything is done in-house, in the USA. Your tapes, film, and photos never leave our building and never get sent to a third-party lab or overseas facility. The same team that receives your box is the team that digitizes it.
We handle formats some other mail-in services don’t. Beyond video, film, and photos, we also transfer audio cassettes and reel-to-reel audio — services that several well-known national mail-in companies don’t offer at all. If you’ve been told “we don’t do that” somewhere else, ask us.

How Our Mail-In Service Works
1. Choose A Product
Select an all-inclusive mail-in box that fits your project or use our à la carte pricing to customize your order.
2. Pack Items
If you order one of our Masterpiece Boxes, we will send you the box with a pre-paid shipping label and everything you need to send it back to us. If you are using à la carte, box your items and include your order confirmation.
3. Ship it!
Drop your prepaid, insured mail-box at any UPS location, or arrange your own tracked shipping for a la carte projects. You’ll get an email the moment we log it in.
4. We Get To Work!
Every item is checked in, tagged, and digitized in-house — no outsourcing, no mystery process, full transparency. A real person reviews the results before anything ships back.
5. Everything Is Shipped Back
Your original tapes, film, and photos ship back to you. If you ordered a flash drive, or discs, they will be included. But don’t worry, you’ll have access to your digital delivery before your items ship back.

Pricing, Honestly
Our mail-in pricing is based on 2 options:
1 – Purchase one of our all-inclusive ‘Masterpiece Boxes’ based on the size of your project and types of media you have.
2 – Choose a la carte pricing for larger projects and less common media types.
Both options provide transparent and upfront pricing.

Every mail-in order is insured for loss or damage in transit, and every box is logged and photographed the moment it arrives — so you know exactly what we received and when. If anything about your order looks off on our end, you’ll hear from us before we touch a single tape.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it actually safe to mail old tapes and photos?
Yes. Our ‘Masterpiece Box’ is sturdy and easy to assemble. If you are using A la carte options, be sure to \\\\uUse a sturdy box, label your items clearly, and ship with a tracked, insured carrier like UPS. We log and photograph every box the moment it arrives, so there’s a clear record of what we received.
How long will it take?
Most orders of 1–6 tapes are finished in 5-7 business days after we receive your box. Larger orders take longer — we’ll give you a specific estimate based on what you’re sending.
Do you outsource the work?
No. Everything is digitized in-house on our own equipment, by our own staff. Nothing is sent to a third-party lab or overseas. We have been in business almost 25 years and have been trusted to digitize millions of pictures, tapes and feet of films.
What if I don't know what format my tapes or film are?
Send a photo before you ship anything, and we’ll identify it for you at no cost.
Do you offer audio transfer?
Yes — audio cassette and reel-to-reel, both included. (This isn’t a given in this industry; several major mail-in services don’t offer audio at all.)
What do I get back?
You’ll get your original media back, along with any add-on discs or flash drives you ordered.
Every project also includes a MediaDrive.Family online account so you can view and download your files.
Is there a minimum order?
No. Send one tape or one hundred — the per-item rate just gets better, the more you send.
