Our History

Masterpiece Multimedia, located in Malvern, Havertown & Limerick, Pa., offers clients world-class service with a community feel. We take pride in our work, customer service and ability to guide clients through their multimedia projects.

Masterpiece Multimedia was founded by Mike Baskin in 2001. Mike has a degree in television and radio production from Ithaca College, with a concentration in video. Mike’s passion for video and TV production began in high school, where he produced, directed and edited numerous sporting events broadcasted on the TETV public access station.

Starting out in the basement of his family home, Mike quickly grew his business through his expertise in digital photography, video production and video editing. He soon established a retail store in Malvern in 2002.

In 2011, Masterpiece Multimedia began to adapt to changes in the video field. As high-definition cameras, HDTV and Blu-ray began to be more common in the home, equipment was upgraded to handle customers’ needs in HD.

In July 2013, our retail store opened in Bala Cynwyd.  In February of 2018 our Limerick store opened.

In 2017, we developed our own brand of Flash Drives called MM-Bytes.  In 2019 we will launch our own online file storage platform.

Michael

CEO

After graduating from Ithaca College, Michael produced national traffic reports for Navtec and XM radio.  While producing, he began freelancing as a videographer. Through the early stages of customer retention, Mike realized there was a wide gap in the needs of customers and began to build his own business relating to media services.  The idea turned into Masterpiece Multimedia.

Michael has also been a long time volunteer with Berwyn Fire Company where he has served as a board member, EMT, Fire Police Officer and many other positions.  He currently is the Captain of Emergency Medical Services.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and dog, seeing live concerts and cruise vacations.
